Long-Lost Hugh Simmers Bracelet Recovered

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnne Oxley of Vermont earlier this year bought a bunch of sterling silver at an auction, thinking she’d sell it for scrap. Thankfully, she noticed that one bracelet had the name “Hugh Simmers” inscribed on the front. On the back another inscription read, “Good Luck From Kings Cinema Staff, Edinburgh. 10-10-17.”

“I have always wanted to reconnect objects I find with original family,” she wrote to this blogger. “I have done quite a bit of genealogy myself and appreciate the time & effort and care involved in that.”

A cursory Internet search turned  up a direct connection to a post on this blog about a Hugh Simmers who worked at Kings Cinema. This is why the folks who “work” here at thompsongenealogy.com do what they do.

A simple financial transaction later and the bracelet wound up on the arm of this grateful blogger, who in turn passed it on to his brother, another Hugh. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
