Hi there, I was born and grew up in Westchester County NY, just outside the city. My parents were the “bestest” of friends with Meany (Marie Kruttschnitt) and Bill Thompson, who I understood to be the nephew of Wm B. Thompson. They had three sons, Billy, Boyce and Tony. The picture of the woman songwriter at the top of this blog looks very much like “Aunt” Meany. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved to cook Mexican food which she learned to do living in Arizona. The last time I saw the Thompsons was in 1970-71, at their apartment in Pasadena. I wonder where Tony is now. He was about five years older than me.
